At Opal Ability Care, we provide one on one support to assist participants to achieve their individual Accommodation and Tenancy goals. This helps the participants to overcome barriers that impact a current tenancy and/or explore and obtain alternative housing options.
Accommodation and tenancy needs may vary from individual to individual. At Opal Ability Care, we help participants in case planning and practical assistance which may include:
- Redefining or developing housing goals
- Liaising with DHHS, real estate agents or proprietors to identify barriers to maintaining at-risk-tenancies
- Identifying and implementing strategies to maintain current tenancies
- Exploring alternative housing option
- Assisting to lodge applications for DHHS rentals.
- Supporting participants to obtain DHHS Bond Loan and essential household items.
- Assistance with budgeting.
- Liaising with utilities providers and assistance to access Utility Relief Grants.
- Building capacity to obtain sustainable accommodation with greater independence.
